While I was away on vacation with my family, I took some time to re-think my comic, Boy X Sword. When I started writing it, manga was my main influence and I wanted to write something like it, and there were so many things I also wanted to include, ninjas, samurais, swordsmen, slaves, victorian outfits... It was fun writing something like that! But now I'm aiming towards something more... Consistent? Coherent? I'm not sure. What I know is that the new BxS will be set in two post-colonial nations, Quito and Quil. Instead of developing a plot that deals with several subjects over a number of chapters like manga does, I'm thinking of writing shorter, self-containing "books" that deal with a certain subject each. The first one should be Kathy's family.
The main character will still be Ruu, but I'm thinking of ways to make him more interesting, less predictable, dunno. To tell the truth, I'm going through most character designs and storylines to see how I can get the best out of them. The funny thing is, the main concept behind these characters stays the same, but is enhanced by these small (and sometimes a bit large) changes.
Well, for now that's all I can say, I'm hoping to draw some sketches / concepts soon.
Thanks to everyone who's encouraged me to keep on with my thesis and also to everyone who's read and left comments on Guerra + Santa, you've all been very helpful! I'm glad to tell you that my thesis is almost over, I'll probably finish it this week!
That's all for now, see you next time!

10 (not so) interesting things about me TAG
I got tagged. My friend Bunni89 (https://www.deviantart.com/bunni89) tagged me and this seemed very interesting so I decided to go for it.
Write 10 interesting things about yourself.Tag 5 interesting people.Besides drawing and writing comics, I'm also an amateur songwriter.
I started playing the guitar on october 2012 and it's something I quite enjoy. I like it so much that I've even written a few songs (I've got 6 now, I think). They're all worship and praise songs. Well, I just write the lyrics and the basic melody but I think it counts as songwriting, right?
My friends and I had a band back in 2009 and we played our own songs.
That's right! We had a 5 piece christian roc
-Lima- A dream come true
This sunday I came to Lima, Perú. I'll be staying here until december, so I think I won't be posting artworks, commenting or faving here on dA until then.
I'm very happy to be here. I just might write a small journal about it one of these days, if I have the time and feel like it.
Good luck to you all, and see you then :)
P.S.: I occasionally post a picture or two of some sketches I'm doing here (plus photos of my trips!) on my instagram account. Check it out!

Ten things about me:
I'd love to be Ruu Romango, the main character of my comic.I'm still learning what it means to be a christian. My favorite place to be is the historic center of my city.I learned the basics on how to play guitar in about two months on my own.
I've written five songs. My beard grows very fast. Sometimes I shave up twice a day.I'm not good at dealing with babies, but I'd love to have kids someday. When I was younger, I'd never go to parties or hang out with friends. Nowadays I hang out with my friends at least twice a week and go to parties at least once a month.I love to dance. But I'm not good at it.I prefer to walk rather
A boy and his sword (part two)
I've been working on my Boy X Sword comic project for over seven years now. Seven years! I've re-done the Boy X Sword plot at least four times, and I've also changed the comic's name. At first it was called The Ninth Card, then I changed the name to Rain of Swords - Chronicle of Ruu the Dasher, and the last one was Boy X Sword.
I started writing this comic back in 2006 when I was still in high-school, and in a way, it was a means of escape from a world that seemed like too much for me to handle. I would dream of running away and wandering endlessly across this country, and that's how I came up with the character of Ruu the dasher (who at fir
